Testing, testing, 1,2,3

This is a test to see if I am savvy enough to email to the blog...we won't have access to our blog while in Ethiopia, although I plan to update it through emails.  I'm testing to see if it works and also to see if the pictures come through.  So, please "pardon the dust while we remodel" :)

This is a picture of our 2nd grader as he started school today.  He didn't have to be wakened (there was no annoying "Time to Get Up" song, Mom), ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast and walked to the bus with his backpack filled with new smelling crayons, markers, ruler, glue sticks, etc.  He also had a Target bag with him carrying his 2 boxes of Kleenex they are supposed to take.  Hope he has a good day, today!  Can't wait to see how it went!

Here's our schedule for the week in Ethiopia:

Sunday--Arrive in Addis Ababa
Monday--"Meetcha Day"--We meet Levi in the transition home
Tuesday--"Gotcha Day"--pick up Levi & Consulat paperwork
Wednesday--Consulate appointment
Thursday--Visit Orphanage
Friday--Shopping
Saturday--Depart for US

A friend of ours sponsors a child in Addis Ababa through Compassion international.  We're going to be delivering a care pakage for her and hopefully take some pictures for them of their sponsored child.  We're hoping to do that on Friday or Saturday.

As I realize that this is a long text--I hope it goes through!
Excitedly,
Mandy
