I came home today from getting some last minute items--I'm sure it won't be my final "last minute item" trip, and sitting in the front door was a FedEx envelope. We are taking some pictures to Levi's nanny for another family(they have the same nanny), and so I thought the envelope contained those, but imagine my excitement when I opened the envelope and it had our itinerary, our tickets, and 3 complimentary luggage tags. YAY!!!
It's really starting to sink in for me, and I'm very overwhelmed with all of the little details, making sure we have everything that's needed and lining up everything for the boys while we're gone. I've noticed that I am still quick to revert back to "being in control" and not asking the Lord for help, so I continue trying to accomplish things on my own. Here's an excerpt from my devotions that I read the other morning, and it has stuck with me through these crazy chaotic last few days:
"Find Me[Jesus] in the midst of the maelstrom. Sometimes events whirl around you so quickly that they become a blur. Whisper My Name in recognition that I am still with you. Without skipping a beat in the activities that occupy you, you find strength and Peace through praying My Name. Later, when the happenings have run their course, you can talk with Me more fully." (Jesus Calling, Young, Sarah, 240)
Can't wait to go, but there's still lots to do during these last 6 days!!
Mandy
P.S. Please keep our family in your prayers--we need all of them!!!
