God has given us some amazing friends here in Warren, and one of those is a fellow-pastor's wife Kylie. We came to Warren in September of '01, and Kylie and her husband landed in Ohio the following summer. So.....we have been together for almost our entire journey in Warren. Anyways...
Back in June when we had our first court date for Levi, we were scheduled to leave about 10 days after the BIG day, and Kylie offered to shop for all of our toiletries/medicine/snacks, etc that we needed to take with us. After printing off packing lists, making a huge shopping list, and giving Kylie the $$$, we sent her on her way!!! When we didn't pass, it wasn't necessary to shop right away, so she waited until news of our next court date came.
After Kylie played the home version of the game show "SuperMarket Sweep" on Monday, we can start packing for our trip to Ethiopia. She was so helpful in looking after those little things like earplugs, tons of wipes, band-aids, diapers, neosporin, snacks...you get the idea! It's so crazy to know what we might need while we are in Ethiopia, and you can ask Paul, I'm a huge OVER-PACKER--so there was lots to buy. I need to learn some lessons from my "flight-attendant-sister", Heather, on packing for a week in a carry-on!
So, thank you Kylie for your help in shopping for us. Thank you for making this time a little less stressful. Thank you for hauling the groceries out to your van and for taking time out of your day. It really means a lot to us, and it was one less thing for us to worry about. Now, if I can just find someone who'll pack for me... :)
