Update on Levi from the Zeune's

The Zeune family is scheduled to arrive in the US tonight after being in Ethiopia for a week. They took our care package to Levi, and they are also bringing home their son. She emailed this week with some pics and a quick update about meeting Levi. It was great to see pictures (can't wait to share them with y'all), and a little info about him.

I asked her to see if she'd be able to guess what size shoe he's wearing...we'll have to take a pair or two over with us when we go get him, and I have no idea what size, so that's why she included the comment about his shoe size...

Here's what she said...

Mandy,
We got to meet your son yesterday! We tried our best to get him to smile, but he had just been awakened from his nap and was not having it. he seems to be really laid back. His feet are pretty small - i'd guess a size 4. He's got quite the little fro going, though it is kind of hard to see against the brown chair he was on. He has a little rash on his cheek, which you can see in the pictures.

And she's not kidding about the 'fro...it's hilarious. Not sure what we're gonna do about that...Pray that he remains healthy, his rash goes away, and that he will recognize us from the pictures we've sent to him. Thanks for all of your prayers...God can move those mountains...I believe it, do you??

  1. Mandy,
Try Ultra Sheen before or vaseline before getting out the shears. Ultra Sheen is nicer. Put it on Levi's wet hair and comb it through; otherwise, his hair may be brittle and break, if you can even get a comb through it. The Ultra Sheen may make it naturally go into tight curls rather than brittle friz. Speaking from experience with our African-American foster son a gazillion years ago. Good luck!
