I wanted to touch base and let you know that we are still working with the court on your paperwork. The judge did not review your case this week and we will continue to push to have all documents reviewed as soon as possible. We are very hopeful she will review everything this upcoming week. I will be in touch as soon as I have any new information.
So, as I type this, I am excited--but not in an excited sort-of-way! I know that doesn't make any sense, but let me try and explain. This could be the week, but then it could not be the week. I hope it's the week that the judge says, "Absolutely...let them come and get him", but then she could say, "I need to review this paperwork again, I'll assign them another court date." That's the reason for my "non-excited excitedness". :) I'm glad I have a God that I can trust!!
If you had asked me what the ideal situation would have been for us to go to Ethiopia, I would have not hesitated to say, "during the summer". I would have loved for Logan to spend time getting to know Levi instead of him going to school, for Levi not getting confused about Logan's role in our family...but I am trusting that God knows what's best for me, for our family, and for Levi. God knows if the transition of bringing Levi home will be difficult, and maybe it'll be easier with only two children at home, while Logan's at school...only God knows! I have to trust that He will follow through with what's the best for all 6 of us.
Soooooo, once again I'm asking you to please pray, pray, pray this week. Pray that:
- the judge would have mercy for our case
- we would be able to go to Ethiopia in August
- God would be glorified through our adoption
Thanks so much for your interest in our adoption and for your prayers for our family. I can't wait for you to meet Levi.
