The Lord is Blessin' Me

Going back to our Toccoa days, I'm reminded of a song that was sung during one of our Student Ministries. Paul and I used to go into downtown Atlanta with a group of college students and tell people about Jesus and how much He loves them. One of the guys that participated in this ministry sang a song every Friday night. It goes:

The Lord is blessin' me, right now, oh right now
The Lord is blessin' me, right now, oh right now
He woke me up this morning and started me on my way
The Lord is blessin' me, right now, oh right now

I was thinking about how much God has done for us, and that song came to mind. It's not the prettiest song, or the greatest arranged song, but the words ring so true to me. (Paul does an amazing rendition of this song, if you ever want to hear it) :)
Some of the ways we have been blessed is through our family doing neat things for us. Back when I picked the nursery theme (elephants), my mom commissioned my dad to make an elephant to hang on the wall. So, after making a pattern, cutting out the wood, and adding all of the little details, here's the finished product. And in the words of my dad it's "a hybrid weenie-dog elephant". It's cute and I've hung blankets on the tusks. So, thank you Dad and Mom!

The last time we made it to Niagara to hang out with the Armitage's, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law (Ellen and Lening) threw a little shower for us. It was so cute, and Ellen loves, I mean LOVES giving gifts. She gave us a great frame that she found when we first mentioned that we were adopting, back in 2007. It says, "A family stitched together with love". It's perfect for pictures of our family of 6...

She also gave Levi some amazing hand-me-downs that have been passed down through the cousins...and I can't wait to see Levi wearing them. I think one of my favorites is a striped onesie that has the namebrand "Levi's" on the front. She also gave us a couple of other shirts and onesies that I cannot wait to put on him. They're awesome!! Here's a picture of them: The onesie on the left says "little brother", and middle shirt is, of course, a Canadian hockey shirt, and the best is the right onesie that says "Universally loved". So, thank you Lening and Ellen for being so thoughtful and generous, and for blessing us with great things for Levi. I know that he is supported and prayed for by family, and to that I can only say "The Lord is blessin' me, right now oh right now."
