Pictures are DEFINITELY Worth a Thousand Words

I was so excited as I opened my email and noticed some updated pictures of Levi. I really wish I could share them with you on our blog, but hopefully on the 10th, there'll be lots of pictures to show. A family recently traveled to pick up their daughter and bring her home, and they took our care package to Levi and snapped lots of photos for us. (BTW, if you've been following from the beginning, I don't think his clothes that we sent are going to fit him--too small) haha

Levi is just getting over the chicken pox--he's in the recovery stage. There are some pictures where you can definitely see the little pock marks, and it sounds like many kids in the Transitional Home have had them. It breaks my heart knowing that he was miserable and there was nothing I could do about it!!

He is looking GREAT in the pictures--especially his "squeezable" cheeks. The man that was holding Levi in the pictures commented how he couldn't get Levi to laugh--only Levi's nanny could. She would have also been the same nanny that nursed him and took care of him while he had the chicken pox.

The family that emailed the pictures wrote us this brief story about Levi and his nanny... "while I was feeding our daughter right before we left the home on Tues., I was alone in the main room with one nanny and a bunch of kids. The nanny was busy caring for the kids and I just watched as I fed my daughter. At one point, the nanny swung your son by both arms onto her back, held his hands over her shoulders and walked around with him-- both were so happy. It was sweet to watch!!!!"

I love hearing that he's happy, but on the other hand, I hate knowing that we're missing out on moments like that. Please pray for our court date (10th) that we will be allowed to bring him home soon!!!
