This morning as Logan was getting ready for his last day of school (I can't believe I have a 2nd grader now), he removed a chain from our visual countdown. He came running to find me and said, "Mommy, only 5 more days until we get Levi." Ohhhhh, how I wish that it was only 5 more days until we get him, but I told him, "no sweetie, only 5 more days until we know if we can go get him. If we get a "yes", then mommy and daddy will go get him, and if we get a "no", then we will wait for another court date and go get him later. We need to pray Levi home." I know it's a hard process for Logan and Landon to understand. I am praying BIG TIME that we get a yes on the 10th and can have Levi home in July. Then the boys will understand that "yes" Levi is a real person, not just a picture. Tonight at supper as Logan was praying, he said, "Dear Jesus, only 5 days left until Levi's big day, whatever needs to happen let it be good." Amen!!
I am so proud of Logan because he wants to participate in the Walk 4 Levi. He said he wants to "help bring Levi to live with us", and he already has a few sponsors. It's so cool to see how this adoption process is going to impact Logan and Landon's life for eternity. Paul and I both pray for our boys that they would have a sensitive spirit for the orphans, widows, and the fatherless, and we pray that God will use Levi and his story to teach the boys to become "other-oriented".
So, please, please, please continue to pray for our court date, for the judge involved with our case, for the MOWA (Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs in Ethiopia) to write a favorable letter about us, and that we'd not be anxious about all of the above. Thank you so much for your prayers!!
Mandy
p.s. Start praying on the 9th because Ethiopia is 7 hours ahead of us, and we want to make sure we're praying at the right time...
