After undressing Levi so he could be weighed, I brought him to the scale, laid him on it, and stood back to watch him shriek and scream. It was so sad, but there was nothing I could do--he was only getting weighed...if his screams weighed a pound each, he would've tipped the scales at about 54 pounds. Anyway, our little Levi is not so little anymore--he has grown right onto the growth chart which is AWESOME!! He is in the 10th percentile for his age with a weight gain of...DRUMROLL PLEASE...3 pounds! YAY!!! So, that puts him at 23.5 pounds! And also, he has grown an inch! Not quite on the scale for his height, but we're getting there. An inch in a month is pretty good.
Dr. Kempf listened to his chest, checked out his innards, and answered some questions that we had, and gave him a huge thumbs up!! She told us that he looks so happy and well-attached, and Levi even showed off a bit by saying, "dok-dor" (doctor) and "i-lu-loo" (I love you). So, we'll start getting his vaccinations taken care of, and then head back to the adoption clinic in about 4 months. SO, thank you SO MUCH for all of your prayers for Levi and our family and the adjustments that we've made...God has heard and answered!! But don't stop praying :) We need it!!
Hope you're all enjoying this great day!!
