Believe It or Not!!

I know, I know, I know!! I haven't posted an entry since the 1st of October...so, I'm trying to get back into a blogging routine. There's been some good things happening around the Armitage house, but some days are pretty mundane, and I don't want to blog on poopies or sibling spats!!! So, I see it as a public service to not waste your time in reading boring blog posts... :)

So, what have we been up to since October 1st...Levi has enjoyed some good 'ole American cuisine...McDonald's, Chic-Fil-A, Pizza Hut and Subway. He's also tasted and LOVED any fruit we've put in front of him, and has been loving Bathtime. I have figured out a trick to keep him from throwing a fit when getting him out of the tub...if I drain the water out of the tub while he's in it, then he doesn't scream and go limp. It's little idiosyncrasies like those that have helped in eliminating some tantrums. And we've learned a few these last 6 weeks.

We've been to the Akron Adoption Clinic once in the last couple of weeks, and Levi seems to be doing really well. He's behind developmentally on just a couple of things...but the Dr was not concerned at all because he was showing signs of catching up in the next few months. She was pleased with how well he was doing for only having been with us for 6 weeks. We had a quick visit with the Psychology Dr (who assesses attachment and bonding issues with the family, and is available to answer questions regarding siblings). He was a helpful tool in talking about interacting in the family, and he wasn't concerned with anything Levi was doing. Praise the Lord for that news.

We've got to make another trip to Akron this week, because we only were able to meet with 2 of the 3 doctors...so off we go again!!

We also had a visit with Paul's brother and wife and kids (Jeff, Jeanette, Caleb, Cole, and Jackson). It was an awesome visit, and we are so grateful they could make the "international" trip for Canadian Thanksgiving. So here are some pics of our visit with them!

Thanks for your patience,
Mandy
