Well, since we've been home for 4 days, I thought I'd give you an update of how the kids are doing. But first...we've been asked how Levi did on the flight over, and he did great!! He loved sleeping on Paul, and on the first leg (10hours) we had a seat between us that was open. So, we made a little bed for him, and took turns catching him when he rolled over in his sleep. FYI: there were 17 babies on board this first leg--all adoptive families with their new kids--no wonder the flight attendants made sure these families got an empty seat between them. haha
We are slowly getting caught up on our sleep. We (including Levi) keep waking up an hour later each morning--the first morning it was 3:20am, this morning it was 5:20am. Not too bad--by the weekend we should be good to go. Levi is sleeping pretty good...only waking up once in the night to be comforted and lulled back to sleep. ALthough this morning it was a little too late for him to go back to sleep, so he's been up since 5:40am. YUK!!!
Logan absolutely loves him and dotes on him. Logan loves to carry him and be the BIG brother to Levi. Landon, on the other hand, has done pretty good with him...although Tuesday morning he told me, "Mom, I just want to play by myself." So, now he knows what it feels like, eh?? Landon still calls him a "cutie" and pinches his cheek--it's really cute.
Paul and I are doing ok with adjusting. It feels like we've been thrown back into reality and have to keep up with the rat-race while adjusting with a new family member that doesn't speak English, a brother who's jealous, and Mom and Dad trying to get things back to normal--whatever "normal" is. So, keep praying for us, that we'll be patient, "slow to speak, slow to become angry, and quick to listen"...listen not just to words, but underlying emotions with the boys.
This morning I had to get 3 stitches out of my right hand. While we were in Cairo, I was opening a glass shower door and it shattered on me...thus the need for stitches. Everything is ok, but it made for a VERY inconvenient trip---since it was my right hand. It's still sore and difficult to move, but the doctor said that it should be ok once the scar tissue goes away. Praise the Lord that it wasn't worse--it really could have been bad. Sorry to not have included that in any previous blogs, but didn't want the boys or our parents to be concerned. Those were my first stitches, and if I would have had my choice, I wouldn't have wanted to get them right in our hotel room---wild, eh??
Well, I'll keep you updated with pictures of the boys, and updates on Levi. Thanks so much for all of your prayers while we were gone--God is so good to us, and I know that He heard you prayers for us. We love you all!!

Ok - just caught that you had to get stitches in Cairo?!?!?! Nothing like a little added drama to the big trip, huh? Glad all is well - can't wait to see your "battle scar"!
