Back in the Saddle Again...

OK, we've been home for 2 weeks, and I think we have gotten over the sleeping issues (time change, naps, etc.). So that's a great thing! We're still adjusting to 3 boys, and Landon is still adjusting to not being "King of the Castle" while Logan is in school. I'm not expecting us to be transitioned by now, but wanted to fill you in on the going's on in the Armitage house.

We had a rough day on Thursday (probably the worst, yet--for me anyways). But there was a "light at the end of the tunnel" with my mom and dad coming on Friday. We surprised my mom and dad at the airport, and they were so excited to see the boys. It's been a great visit, and all 3 boys have really enjoyed having them around.

We took Levi to church this morning, and it was so much fun "showing him off" to friends that have been praying and supporting us during this awesome adventure. As I was telling someone this morning, "Please don't stop praying for us. This part is way harder than the waiting." So true!!

We've been experimenting with different kinds of food with Levi, and he will eat anything--and I mean anything (except for a bite of my vegetarian omelette--you would've loved it Jeanette). He loves bananas, noodles of any kind, milk from his big boy sippy, waffles (L'eggo my Eggo kind--not homemade) and anything else we're having. We just feed him what we're having, but in smaller portions/bites. He's not saving food for later anymore...which is awesome. He used to keep bread in both of his hands after the meal--sometimes for an hour or so. He's satisfied when we're finished at the table and he doesn't cry for more, and we are so thankful for that. God is good to us!!!

We love watching him blossom with his little personality. I wondered at the get-go if he would mesh with our family--I really think that he'll fit in just fine with this rowdy Armitage family. We are so excited as we start our 3rd week with him, and we'll keep you posted on his progress here in Warren.

Love to all,
Mandy

p.s. Funny story: 2 weeks ago (our first night home) Paul's parents spent the night with us, and so Paul and I ordered pizza for supper...the next day Paul's parents bought us KFC--WELCOME TO AMERICA LEVI!!! 2 of his first 3 meals were fast food...haha

  1. Hey Mandy and Paul! I love coming and catching up on your time with Levi and the boys. I love sharing your story and praying for you guys when you come to mind. But I will remember to pray on a regular basis for you guys during this transition. It is so fun to see your family grow and be blessed through this! ~Paula
