8 Days Home...so How's it Going????

Well, if we were to be completely honest--which I know we're supposed to, but there's always a part of us that wants to pretend everything is fine, right--it's been a rough week. And it's to be expected--I mean, we are adjusting to a new son, he's adjusting to new parents and siblings, Landon's adjusting to not being the baby, and Logan's adjusting to 2 baby brothers, Paul's adjusting to being a Daddy to 3 boys, I'm adjusting to being a Mommy to 3 boys--one being "super-clingy", and one of us doesn't speak English. So, all that said...we've been trying to iron out the kinks. All in all, God is good, and I keep going back to my Psalm 32 verse--"God will advise us and watch over us".

But there are great things that are happening...Levi has "stranger anxiety" which is awesome news to us. This means that he doesn't just go to anybody, and while we were at the "Adoption Clinic" on Friday our Doctor commented on how great that is, so we are excited about that. It means that he's connecting and attaching to us as his parents--thanks for praying for that.

He had double ear infections, so we've been able to get the antibiotic for him. He's sleeping VERY WELL. I'm not sure how crazy I would be if he weren't sleeping so great!!

The boys are doing great with him, although Landon is having the hardest time adjusting. Keep praying for him, his whole world has been rocked and it's hard for him to really understand and verbalize what he's feeling.

Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to these last 8 days...

Taking a nap everyday!! (Notice the shoes)

"Just a Swangin'" (Gotta little change in my pocket, eh Lizanne?)

Becoming a Chef (according to Landon)

Laughing (photo taken by Logan)

Keep praying for our family!! We need it!!

  1. Such cute pics! Thank you for being honest in your posts. While we're waiting for our child to come home, it's so easy to fantasize as to what it will be like when our family is forever changed and oftentimes we imagine through rose colored glasses. You keep it real and that helps those of us who are following behind you to keep things in perspective. Praying for your family.
