Back in Cairo

Well, as I'm thinking about what we were doing a year ago, I can remember hanging out at the hotel in Cairo while waiting for our airport shuttle. The shuttle was scheduled to take us to the airport @ 12am, so we had a lot of time to kill. We decided to go swimming, but since I had just had stitches in my hand, I couldn't get it wet so what's the point in me going swimming. But Paul enjoyed the amazingly huge outdoor pool, while I relaxed on the lounge chairs enjoying a good book.

I can remember thinking during our wait, "Come on, let's just get to Ethiopia already." I can remember what we saw and did, and even what we ate...but it's hard for me to remember the smells and even the sounds of Cairo. I want to make sure I always remember our experience to bring Levi home, thus the reason for this blog. Thanks for journeying with us, and can't wait to remember our "Meetcha" day and "Gotcha" day--the days when we met and got Levi!!
